açaí bowl



Hello friends! I'm very excited about this post because it's about the yummiest thing ever. I'm going to show you how to make your very own açaí bowl! Well, I put it in a mason jar, but same difference. As a handful of you probably already know, açaí berries are one of the greatest superfoods in the world—no joke. They're chock full of fiber that helps promote digestive health, which might be why they're great for losing weight. They're also packed with antioxidants that strengthen our immune systems and even prevent premature aging. But all of that aside, it's an awesome source of energy and a smart choice to include in your everyday diet.


Here's a list of what you'll need:

Sambazon Unsweetened Açaí Smoothie Pack
granola
bananas
berries or any other fruit
milk, juice, or water

You should also have a blender and a pair of scissors in handy. Plus, don't forget your bowl!


First, run the smoothie pack under the faucet for a good ten seconds to warm it up. Cut open the top, and drop the solid into your blender. One pack makes one serving. Then, add half a banana (the other half you'll use as a topping). Lastly, add a little bit of milk, juice, or water to loosen up the mixture before blending away!


Once you get a smooth and thick consistency like this, poor your mixture into a bowl. Now it's time for the fun part—adding toppings! This is mainly up to you; throw in whatever you want. I like to start off with a layer of granola, then move on to tossing in some sliced bananas and frozen raspberries (my favorite), blueberries, and blackberries.

To be honest, I've been on a bit of an emotional roller coaster these past few weeks. I can't remember the last time I was this down. This week was probably the toughest, but I'm determined to be happy again. Once you hit rock bottom, there's nowhere to go but up, right? It's going to be hard, and it's going to take time. But I'm ready to heal.
