the end

I am officially a high school graduate.

Today's post will be a personal one, as I'll reminisce the happenings of these past two months. Gosh, all sorts of things whizzed by too quickly; college acceptances, prom, graduation, final goodbyes. I think what I'm going to miss the most is seeing my friends' faces on a daily basis. We're now separating onto each of our own separate paths. We're breaking out of the bubble and entering the enormous world. It's bittersweet.

Cheesy, but prom was something that I had always dreamed and fantasized about. The dresses, the dates, the dances! I want to thank my friends for making that night an absolute blast. Being the planning freak that I am, I knew exactly what style I wanted to pull off: Grecian. I wore Jenny Yoo's beautiful Annabelle dress with a corsage I made by myself and a braided updo. Success!

Graduation. From dropping my phone the second before I stepped onto the field, to bursting into tears when I spotted my parents after throwing my cap... my stomach was filled with butterflies the entire ceremony.

And last but not least, I hosted a graduation party! It wasn't perfect, but come on; I got pretty darn close right? DIY photobooth, cute decorations—the party was a great last get-together for all of my close friends and me.

I'm laughing as I think of this: high school was quite a jumble of insane ups and downs. Over time though, I've learned that everything really just comes and goes. What matters is how I decide to set my attitude about it all. Friendships, grades, teachers, sleepless nights... some memories make me wince, but I remind myself that they're long gone in the past now. There's plenty, plenty of more happy memories to cherish.

It's an end, but it's also a new start.
High school, thank you for the good times. On to the next!
