the midi statement

Hey friends! I wanted to share with you all a fascinating discovery: the midi skirt.

Number one, midi skirts are unimaginably comfortable. Number two, they're the perfect choice if you want to stand out in a crowd. Number three, I'm sorry to say that I don't have another logical reason other than the fact that midi skirts are just hands down my favorite. They're not too short (pulling down your skirt every five seconds is a nightmare) nor too long (skirts that drag on the ground are also nightmares). Just right!

Much love for my friend Anita who captured these photos for me. Nope, they're not actually polaroids... I may have had a bit too much fun with editing ~

Both the skirt and shirt are from H&M.

Midi skirts are definitely unique, so they might seem a little intimidating at first. Do not fret! Swoosh around in your midi skirt with confidence. Pulling off an amazing outfit is all about the attitude you have while wearing it. Have you seen Amy Cuddy's TED Talk on how your body language can really affect the way others perceive you? It's quite lengthy, but so insightful and interesting. What you should get out of the talk is that you should always stand in a posture of confidence. It not only boosts your self-esteem, but also provides the potential to find greater successes in life. How cool is that?!

On that note, couldn't leave out the derp photo...

Fun fact: I used to be a hardcore tomboy. When I was younger, I downright refused to wear skirts and dresses. I probably gave into skirts around the beginning of high school. Isn't it strange how our tastes change as we grow? For me, it's not just clothing; it happens with food too! I used to disgust anything with coconut, but now I can't survive without coconut water ~

Before I sign off, here are some random snaps from the past few weeks:

Really appreciating the beautiful city of Philadelphia. Happy spring!
